Herbal Tea for Heartburn #1

What You Need:
Peppermint leaves
Fennel seeds
Lemon-balm leaves

Preparation Method:
Mix together 6 ounces each. You will need to place 1 teaspoon of the mixture in each cup that you want to prepare. Boil the water and add to the cup, blending the mixture with the water.

Usage:
Leave to steep for about 8 to 10 minutes, then strain and drink.

What You Need:
A teaspoon of chamomile flowers,
1 cup of water,
Some lemon juice or honey

Preparation:
Bring the water to boiling in a saucepan, add the flowers and then boil for about 30 seconds more with the saucepan lid on.

How to Use:
Remove the pan from the heat and let it stand for about 1 minute. Your tea should now be ready for drinking. If you like, add some honey or lemon juice to taste.

What You Need:
5 cardamom pods which you have slightly crushed,
2 normal tea bags,
4 tablespoons of sugar,
and some milk to taste.

Preparation:
Put the cardamoms in a saucepan and add around seven cups of fresh cold water. Bring this mixture to the boil. Once boiling, add the sugar and tea bags.

Special Hints:
If you want to add milk, then add just enough to turn the mixture a pale beige color. Bring the mixture back to the boil again and just as it begins to rise to the top of the pan, turn off the heat.

After straining, the tea is ready to drink.

What You Need;
1 1/4 to 2 teaspoons of freshly shredded ginger
boiling water.

Preparation Method:
Put ginger in a cup and add boiling water. Let the ginger steep for around 10 -15 minutes. Next, strain the mixture to remove the ginger.

Usage:
Drink when at the right temperature for you.

What You Need;

One Inches of ginger root
A normal tea bag
Boiling water

Preparation Method:
Peel around one inches of ginger root and slice it finely. Place into a cup with a normal tea bag and pour on boiling water. Let the mixture seep for about 2 -3 minutes then remove the normal tea bag and strain the ginger out. If you like you can add honey or sugar before drinking.

Although you can buy ginger tea at most health stores, due to the quality of ginger used in most cases you may find that store bought ginger tea doesn’t works as well as a homemade ginger tea recipe.

What You Need:
1 teaspoon of rooibos
Freshly boiling water

Preparation Method:
Place rooibos into a cup and add freshly boiling water. Cover, and let it steep for a 4 -5 minutes.

Usage:
You can either drink it as is, or add milk, honey, sugar or lemon for a change.
